Design and moulding
Together with our trained and specialised professional team, which follows every developing technology, we carry out all the production stages of the moulds required for shaping our products in our own mould shop. Because our focus is customer satisfaction, we keep steering every development in that direction.
Our mould shop is equipped with the most suitable machinery both for producing new moulds and for modifying, optimising and maintaining existing ones. Our expert team works around the clock with original moulding methods and designs, particularly for our project-based work.
Housing CNC machining centres, wire EDM and lathes, our mould shop team devotes most of its work to the design and production of casting and injection moulds, and also prepares products that require machining.

What is polyurethane?
Polyurethane was discovered in 1937 by the German scientist Otto Bayer. It was first obtained as a result of the reaction of a diisocyanate and a diol; later, using a polyol instead of a diol produced a more durable and flexible structure.
Used today for different purposes in many sectors, polyurethane balances ambient temperature, blocks sound and is watertight thanks to its airtight structure. Its flame-resistant structure also prevents the spread of fire.
Failures caused by wear have become a problem for many industries, whether through friction or chemical attack. Using raw material with high abrasion resistance values, Elkapol manufactures protective polyurethane equipment to extend the service life of components exposed to abrasive environments.

What is rubber?
Because of their physical, chemical and technological properties, rubber materials are important engineering materials with a wide field of use, from automotive to aviation and from construction to healthcare.
Rubbers are polymers that are amorphous and non-cross-linked at room temperature but can be cross-linked under certain conditions. This cross-linking is achieved through vulcanisation: rubber that behaves plastically before vulcanisation gains elastic properties afterwards.
After extensive R&D, ELKAPOL has developed rubber compounds that deliver high performance when matched to the right application. Rubber products designed specifically for your process offer low cost and a long working life.
